 This book’s endbands and bookmark are French goatskin.  The book is half-cloth in Belgian book linen, and its boards are wrapped in a 1961 map of Italy and Sicily.

The talisman in this book is a 1908 20 centesimi Italian coin, featuring an allegorical figure representing Liberty in flight over a Savoy shield. The House of Savoy was founded in 1003.
