The talisman in this book is a 1915 award won by first year architecture student Leopold Dugast, in Paris. Its obverse reads: “Ville de Paris, Ecole Municipal de Dessen Pratique, 1ere Année Architecture, 1er Accessit Dugast, Leopold, 1915.”
