This hand-sewn journal was built using Arches 85 gsm, hand-laid, 100% cotton rag paper from France.  It is sewn with Irish linen thread in the linked stitch pattern that was favored by the ancient Copts.

The book’s endbands are blue and gold silk, and its bookmark is goatskin.  The spine is wrapped in top grain goatskin over leather, and its boards are covered in paper that was hand-marbled by Betty Caponi in Monte San Giusto, Italy.

The talisman in this book is a 1969 commemorative coin issued to mark the Jully 16 launch of the Apollo 11 rocket from the Kennedy Space Center, the mission that would first enable astronauts to walk on the moon.  Wherever your adventures take you, be inspired and inspiring.
