This book’s endbands and bookmark are French goatskin.  The book is half-clothed in Dubletta book cloth from the Netherlands, and its boards are wrapped in a 1940 map of the Levant States.

The talisman in this book is an Israeli half shekel coin featuring Yehudah, the Lion of Judah.  In Biblical times, Jacob blessed his son Judah as “Gur Aryeh,” or young lion, which has become a symbol of Israel.
