1911
This archival, hand-sewn journal/sketchbook is made from Strathmore all cotton rag, 80 gsm paper stitched with Irish linen thread in the linked patter that was developed by the ancient copts which allows the book to easy lie open.
Its endbands are cotton, and its bookmark is calfskin. Its spine is waxed pigskin, and its boards are wrapped in paper that was marbled in France.
The talisman in this volume is a 1911 Liberty Head, or “victory” nickel. This is the predecessor to the Buffalo Nickel.
